Ben Nixon is the house sound engineer at Finley's Irish Bar & Grill in Nelson, BC.  He has also done shows at the Capitol Theatre, Studio 80, and the United Church.  Some acts that he has worked with include Freestylers, Mr. Something Something, Kinnie Starr, Five Alarm Funk, Kid Koala, and Eric Solomon. 




Standard Rate:

$15/hour or $100/night (depending on agreement)

Prices are before equipment rentals.

    Mossy Rock Productions is also available for live recording.  We can provide up to 16 channels of digital recording, however we do not currently have dedicated splitters.  The options for multitrack live recording, therefore, are to double mic all sources or to have the split signals provided by the venue.  If you are considering doing a live recording feel free to contact us with your questions.  We would be pleased to discuss the details and possibilities with your performance venue.  We look forward to expanding our live recording services in the near future.




Standard Recording Rate:

$50 + $15/hour

This includes recording service, recording system, and room mic(s).  Additional microphones, stands, etc. are extra.  Hourly rate applies to set-up/sound check.


You will receive the recordings either as a Pro Tools session folder or as .wav files (one for each track).  Live recordings can be mixed at the standard rate of $20/hour.
